Unfortunately, there are more than just a couple of things that you might need to be prepared to buy if you’re moving, and if you want to stay ahead of the curve and on-top of your finances, here’s a list of what you need to buy if you’re moving house. 1)    Packing supplies and materials.Everyone who moves house needs to use the right packing materials, and it’s no different for your house move! There are lots of packing materials that you might need, including: removal boxes, bubble wrap, packing tape, foam packing peanuts, foam packing boards, plastic sheeting, rope or bungee cord to secure items, marker pens and much more. Start by making a list of what you think you might need, and consider what materials you already have. Don’t forget that if you’re on a tight budget then you can always source moving boxes second-hand from your local stores, but remember to ensure that they’re reinforced with packing tape so that they’re as good as new! 2)    Rental fees.Your rental fees can be quite expensive if you’re moving. Maybe you need a storage unit on a temporary basis or perhaps you need to rent a dolly to move your fridge and freezer? Sit down and make a comprehensive list of just what it is you need to rent for moving day. You can then use the internet to find great bargains for what you need, and you can also approach removal companies to find the best deals for you and your family. 3)    Finding out what you might need to buy.Downsizing and packing your home is a great opportunity to see what you might need to buy. Moving house is a fantastic fresh start, and it’s a brilliant time to replace any of your worn, used or broken items. Whether might be kitchen appliances or bathroom necessities, there’s probably going to be one or two things that you need to replace. If you’re moving from a furnished home into an unfurnished home then your list might be considerably longer, so be aware of what you need in plenty of time for moving day so that you won’t have to rush to buy essential items! 4)    Appliances and furniture.Moving into an unfurnished home means that you’re probably going to need to buy appliances and furniture. If you’re on a budget then the best way to do this is through the internet. There are lots of local websites on which people sell, swap and donate items of furniture and appliances that are in full working order, so this is a perfect option for you if you’re looking for a bargain! Check out furniture charity shops to find used furniture at rock-bottom prices, or look for ex-display furniture in your local stores. There are lots of cheap alternatives to brand-new items for your unfurnished home – all you have to do is look for them!
